Storage questions

Does TAR buy dead hard drives?

Yes, provided they are physically intact. A drive that no longer spins still has a legitimate evaluation and recovery route. Drilled, hammered and degaussed drives do not.

Are mixed brands and capacities acceptable?

Yes. Mixed lots are normal. All brands and capacities are considered.

Does TAR erase or destroy data?

No. TAR provides secure storage media handling and does not offer certified data destruction or erasure, and does not issue certificates for either.
