About TAR

A Sharjah base, an international market, and one job: keep good technology working.

Teddy Asset Renewal (TAR) was founded in 2023 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. We buy IT equipment that businesses no longer need, decide honestly what each item should become next, and move it to the market where it is worth the most — as working equipment wherever possible.

Why TAR exists

Technology is replaced on a business cycle, not on a working-life cycle. A three-year-old server is often retired because a refresh budget arrived, not because it stopped doing its job. The same is true of laptops, switches, drives and displays.

In mature markets this creates a constant flow of equipment that is surplus locally but valuable elsewhere. In other markets, businesses need exactly that equipment and cannot justify buying new. TAR was founded to connect those two realities properly — with real evaluation, real logistics and relationships that last longer than a single container.

What TAR actually does

TAR operates across technology, recycling and recovery, refurbishment and renewal, reuse and trading. In practice that means four things happen to the equipment we take in:

  • Trading. Equipment that is commercially viable is remarketed into international buyer markets. This is the largest part of what TAR does.
  • Renewal and reuse. Equipment that needs testing, sorting, cleaning or reconfiguration before it can be resold is prepared so it can go back into service.
  • Recovery. Assets are sorted and evaluated so that the most valuable outcome — usually reuse — is identified before anything is treated as waste.
  • Responsible electronics recovery. Material that genuinely cannot be reused moves into recycling pathways, working with specialised partners where required.

Read more about each of these on the IT asset solutions pages.

Where TAR operates

TAR has one physical location: Warehouse 3, Industrial Area 5, Near JNP Chowk, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Sharjah sits beside one of the busiest trade corridors in the world, which is the practical reason the business is here — equipment arriving from Europe, North America and Australia can be received, evaluated and forwarded into Asian and Middle Eastern markets without unnecessary handling.

TAR buys from suppliers in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Europe, and supplies buyers in the UAE, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and other genuine international markets. Those are markets, not offices. TAR does not maintain premises outside the United Arab Emirates.

How TAR works with suppliers and buyers

Every relationship starts the same way: you tell us what you have or what you need, and we tell you honestly whether we are the right buyer or seller for it. If we are not, we will say so rather than waste a shipment.

Commercial arrangements are discussed individually based on product category, shipment method, business history and mutual agreement. We do not publish payment terms, because the sensible terms for a mixed pallet and for a recurring container are not the same.

What TAR does not claim

This matters more than marketing language, so it is stated plainly.

  • TAR does not claim certifications or accreditations it does not hold, and does not describe itself as certified, authorised or officially approved.
  • TAR does not offer certified data destruction and does not issue data-erasure or destruction certificates. Storage media is described as secure storage media handling, which is what it is.
  • TAR does not guarantee compliance outcomes on a supplier's behalf. Where regulated handling is required, TAR works with specialised partners and will tell you where its own responsibility begins and ends.
  • TAR does not publish reviews, testimonials, client logos, awards or statistics it cannot evidence.

People and evidence

TAR is a small, direct business. When you contact us you are talking to the people who make the decisions, not a queue. Contact details are on every page and on the contact page.

Reserved for verified trust evidence. This site has a component ready for client references, memberships and certifications. It is intentionally empty. It will be filled only when TAR holds documented evidence for each item — no placeholder logos, no invented testimonials.
